Colombo Airport

Colombo International Airport is also known as Bandaranaike International Airport. It is located approximately 35 kilometers from the center of Colombo, Sri Lanka's capital city. The airport is the first in the country to have major international and domestic airlines use the runway. Bandaranaike International Airport currently has three terminals and a freight terminal.

A number of projects have already been signed to improve the airport's infrastructure. According to expansion plans, the airport will soon have more runways, check-in counters, and security booths, as well as a larger passenger holding capacity for the convenience of passengers. Ratmalana Airport

Ratmalana Airport was not only Sri Lanka's first international airport but also the country's only international airport until the Colombo airport opened. The airport is around 15 kilometers from Colombo and now only serves domestic aircraft. The airport was also the place for several aviation training organizations were established.

The Ratmalana airport has two terminals. Terminal One handles international corporate and domestic flights, while Terminal Two handles regional operations. The airport provides immigration services, a VIP lounge, ground handling, baggage management, and passenger screening in accordance with ICAO standards.

Sigiriya Airport

Sigiriya Airport is a domestic airport in Sri Lanka. It was founded in 1942 and is located near Dambulla. Initially, it served as the Royal Air Force Base, as did many other airports. It was then closed after the war, but it was reopened in 1985. Visitors can also get away from the Sigiriya Airport by visiting Dambulla Cave Temple, Minneriya National Park, Jathika Namal Uyana, and a few other places.

Mattala Rajapaksha Airport

Mattala Rajapaksha International Airport is the country's first greenfield airport. It serves the northeastern region of Sri Lanka and provides both international and domestic flights. The airport was created with the goal of reducing congestion at Colombo Airport.

The airport features a single terminal that can handle nearly 1 million passengers per year. It contains 12 counters for checks and two gates. There is a medical facility, restaurants, and a lounge for business-class travelers.
